Progress As Promised-2020 Bond

The Clinton School District is appreciative of the community for overwhelmingly supporting the 2020 $4 Million Zero-Tax Increase Bond. The passage of this bond allowed the district to make buildings safer, improve the learning environment for students, and protect and enhance the investment the community has made in our facilities through the years. Below are some of the projects that were successfully completed with the passage of this bond.

SECURE ENTRANCES AT HENRY ELEMENTARY AND CLINTON INTERMEDIATE
Before the passage of the 2020 bond, Clinton Intermediate School and Henry Elementary did not have secure vestibules that restricted visitors from advancing past the office and into the rest of the building.

The passage of the bond allowed both schools to construct more secure and controlled entrances, improving the safety for students and staff.

FULL KITCHEN/CAFETERIA AT CIS
Prior to the passage of the 2020 bond, Clinton Intermediate School had only ever had a "warming-kitchen”, not allowing for food to be prepared on-site. Thanks to voters, the school now has a fully-functioning kitchen and larger cafeteria for students.

PARKING LOT/DRIVEWAY REPAIRS
The resurfacing and repairing of driveways and parking lots at several buildings was able to be addressed.

HANDRAIL INSTALLATION AT CARDINAL STADIUM
Not only did the district address the safety of students and staff, but the district was also able to address the safety of those who visit our facilities. The bond funded the installation of handrails and other safety features to the bleacher seating at Cardinal Stadium.

VARIOUS OTHER PROJECTS
HVAC unit replacement at several buildings, security camera enhancements, and additional classrooms, workspaces and offices were also part of the bond project.
