Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

Safety is always our highest priority. Please help us keep our students and school safe by following our drop-off and pick-up procedures to ensure that students enter and exit the building in a safe and organized manner.

NEW FOR THE 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR
The safety of our students is always our highest priority in the Clinton School District. After reviewing our current afternoon car rider dismissal procedures at CIS and Henry, we have identified a change that is necessary to ensure the well-being of all students during dismissal (no changes have been made to arrival procedures).

In the past, families with children at both schools could pick up all siblings at a single location. Beginning Wednesday, August 20, this will no longer be the case for car riders. From that date forward, students who are afternoon car riders must be picked up at their own school building.

Students will no longer walk between campuses at dismissal to meet a sibling for car rider pick-up. While we know this may be less convenient for some families, the current practice has created significant safety concerns, including crossing busy parking lots, navigating heavy traffic, and limited supervision.

By keeping car riders at their own school for pick-up, we can better supervise them, reduce safety risks, and ensure smoother, more secure dismissal procedures.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make this adjustment to better protect our students. While it is a change in routine, we are confident it will lead to a safer and more efficient process for everyone.

Should you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s school building principal.

Additional Info
Please only make right hand turns when entering and exiting the parking lot.

Students will be notified of transportation changes by the office. Please contact the office by 2:00 pm with any changes.
